Is Your Business, Your Life, Your Career Meeting Your Fulfillment Requirements?
Have you ever wondered what it is going to take to have all that you want to experience in your life, your career, business, or your relationships? If someone told you that the answers you seek are not outside of yourself, would you believe them? Would you be willing to pause and listen?
“Don’t seek anything outside yourself, the answers are contained in your heart” – Rumi
In my personal journey, it has taken me years to stop looking outside of myself for the deep answers to fulfillment. It has led to thought mastery and alignment with the energies that magnetize the things I desire to experience. I am still practicing; I still feel like a novice in so many ways. I do know there is value in taking professional development programs because it is important to enhance skills through classes and practice, at professional conferences and through digital media. Yet within is a wealth of untapped wisdom when we take the time to sit and connect with the intelligence of our heart. We yearn for understanding of our deeper connection and how to be able to navigate our own inner space. Quietness begins this process.
“Your vision will become clear only when you can look into your own heart. Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes.”– Carl Jung
I have come to the place of knowing that if I invest time in quietude, in deeply listening to my own soul speak, it makes it easier for me to take the actions that help in all the other areas of my life. As I work with leaders and business owners and see their struggles or places where they appear blocked or confused I have come to realize that the million plus external voices often crowd out the very wisdom they seek that comes from within.
So, how does this benefit you – leader of others, leader of your life and leader on the way up?
When leaders pause they are able to reframe what they see happening in the business, with their stakeholders and shareholders. They gain a better understanding of how to inspire and lead their teams to realize their vision, purpose and mission. Because they know themselves it enables them to do this. Their own capacities become visible to themselves and others. They know who they need to appoint to a project or a task that is better equipped than them to do that work without feeling threatened.
“…magic begins to happen…”
They act from their authentic self and beingness that allows them to operate with an open mind, open heart and with open hands. From this place of power and vulnerability magic begins to happen and their organization, their team, their business begins to take on a new shape. Their leadership game is “upped” and everyone begins to have the opportunity to come from their strengths and to develop them even deeper and wider. That is what I have witnessed is possible when you take the time to pause and connect with the deepest part of yourself. An active practice of quiet and connection opens you to more of your knowing. You can then become all of who you are and be that wherever you go. That’s when fulfillment occurs.
What will it take for you to take the time to be still? What will it take for you to come to that place of knowing the solution you seek is but a pause away?
I only know from my own experience that it does take practice to allow the outer world to be quiet enough to hear what wants to emerge from my depths. I am sometimes so amazed at the solutions that arise…and then the 30 seconds it takes to say yes and take action on that idea! (That is a topic for another blog – the action piece!)
